Global insurance brokers Griffiths & Armour are based in Liverpool and have offices in London, Manchester and Dublin. For their new headquarters they took an 18,500 square foot space at Princes Dock with striking views across the River Mersey, and asked Aztec, a Liverpool based company with more than 30 years’ experience within the commercial property market, to build them a perfect workplace. The brief? A variety of spaces including private booths, meeting rooms, hot desks, lounge chairs and a breakfast bar with a view of the river.

“ The fit-out has had a significant and positive impact on the mood in our business. The configuration of the space has unified the team and improved our energy levels and productivity. It has also driven a surge in interest from our clients and insurer partners during their visits, which is really positive.  We’re delighted with the result. ”
Nicholas Brace, Partner at Griffiths & Armour

Sustainability was also key, so Aztec’s own joinery workshop made bespoke fittings using materials from sustainable sources only and hired Johnson’s Moving Services to help upcycle 30 tonnes of furniture from the old headquarters. In keeping with this eco-friendly theme, our Railway Carriage meeting booths were upholstered in natural shades and dotted around the main office; plus one in the building’s glass atrium among the trees and flowers. And, to make the most of the available space, we also installed a wall of HotLockers with pastel highlights and some low Storagewalls.
