The Royal Masonic School for Girls is an independent school in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, England, with both day and boarding pupils. The school occupies a 316-acre site in the Rickmansworth park, and provides top quality education to over 1000 students, including more than 100 who board.

With heritage dating back to 1788, the design had to reflect their history, whilst also bringing a modern and light touch to the space. Being a boarding school also meant that it was important to create a homely aura, to allow the students to feel at home. The Royal Masonic school turned to Envoplan, education-specific interior designers, to design and project manage the refurbishment.

In the main common room space, modern and bright furniture create a welcoming space for the students to relax and take a break from their studies. The large open plan space is divided in the middle using our Palisades Grid, to create a multi-functional space with different activities taking place on either side of the divide.  A large TV screen set into the Palisades Grid allows for greater tech integration and enhanced student experience.

Throughout the other rooms and spaces within the school, a variety of our tables and seating product compliment the design. The warm, birch look of the Rip Breakout tables and tonal colours of the Softbox and Chic Lounge seating all add to the contemporary and relaxing feel of the refurbished surroundings.
